How It All Started

Eight years ago, I was doing what parents everywhere do—helping my son rehearse his vocabulary homework. But then something unexpected happened: instead of saying the words out loud, he grabbed his phone and texted me the answers.

That moment sparked an idea. What if parents could help their children practice, even when they weren't in the same room? What if homework could happen anywhere, anytime?

From that simple text message, Play Homework was born. At first, it was straightforward: snap a photo of your vocabulary homework, and practice with three exercises—spelling, speaking, and our signature "chill wheel."

Then AI arrived and changed everything. Suddenly, the exercises became smarter, more dynamic, more powerful. What started as a tool for parents and children has evolved into an intelligent language companion that adapts to your own level.
